The best thing about this miracle remedy is its incredible simplicity. There’s no need to soak for hours or use an abrasive brush.
Spot Treatment: You only need a tiny amount. Squeeze a small amount of foam directly onto each grease stain.
Rub Gently and Wait: Using only your fingers, gently massage the foam into the fabric to ensure the stain is completely saturated. Then, let the product sit for at least five minutes. This is the secret soaking time during which the formula dissolves the grease bonds.
Normal Wash: Proceed with your usual wash cycle. Personally, for optimal stain removal even in cold water, I use a powerful detergent like Tide Coldwater Clean, but your favorite detergent will work just fine.

If the stain is particularly old or stubborn, don’t despair if it’s still slightly visible after the first wash. This is normal for stains that have already been treated with the heat of the dryer.
Simply reapply Dawn cleaning foam (and again, if necessary). A second or even third targeted treatment and a wash cycle usually solve the problem, effectively eliminating stains that I previously considered permanent. The foam removes the grease layer by layer until the fabric is perfectly clean.
A quick tip about fabrics: so far, my successes have been limited to durable fabrics like cotton, polyester, and denim. If you’re working with more delicate items, always remember the golden rule for stain removal: test a small, hidden area first to ensure there’s no discoloration or damage to the fabric.
